This is the idea one can think of that can’t be refuted by any argument.
Reality we experience collectively is actually just a dream or a dreamlike phenomen. Probably because consciousness is distributed like multi personality disorder, conditions required for awakening are not met.
Possibly it was an accident. Never meant to happen. Maybe conditions that require mystery to exists caused this possibility. (Not that it really make sense). Possibly it was designed to make awakening possible in case of too much fear or in the instance of pain. But because consciousness is distributed it was never achieved in instance of this dream. Or thresholds were never reached.
There is almost nothing else to say. What else can be said is of the realm of fantasy. Nevertheless realizing this is as important as realizing the dream.
If we assume Karma is part of this dream. It is not just about avoiding bad and doing good. Pursuing fantasies and wanting the dream to continue while you are good despite the suffering is also a choice that may have consequences.
This was the motivation behind ancient missionaries who created many religions in atempt to achieve this consciousness but all religions manipulated and exploited by politically motivated authorities and individuals. That possibly includes many political authority that exists today. With various motivations. It is not the case that anything is really covered up. It is the case that the amount of people who want to see it is not many. For most people, what others think is the reality. It is not really possible to define a reality for others. At the end it doesn't matter what anybody thinks.
(Not that I think pursuing fantasies is the issue but intent of wanting this dream to not end is relevant.)
